The setting and location in act two all take place inside the castle. This is big because when Duncan is killed no one knows who exactly killed him at first. Everyone in the castle just heard noise that night when Duncan was killed, but no one took action to go see if something bad was happening. If Duncan were killed at a place that was smaller, then everyone would have noticed what was happening and would have gotten help and maybe Duncan would not have died. But since it did happen in the castle no one knew who killed him.
Great point. I agree with you. That the setting for this scene has a major impact. That maybe if Macbeth killed Duncan somewhere else he would have not died.
