Act One had a few stages of the hero journey like The Ordinary World, the Call to Adventure, Refusal of the Call and Meeting the Mentor. We also saw the Archetypes of the Herald (the Weird Sisters), and the mentor (Lady Macbeth). We cannot be sure if Lady Macbeth is just the mentor or if she may be the shape shifter as well. Act Two covers Crossing the Threshold (kills King Duncan) and even some Tests, Allies and Enemies. A test Macbeth encounters are lying to his friends and the King's sons. Macbeth finds himself doubting who he can trust.
