Remorse

In Act III, Shakespeare make a lot of references to blood. I believe that he is trying to convey through the dialog that Macbeth feels incredibly guilty for what he has done. The blood of others is on his hands, and he is constantly reminded of that. This act also ties in with the articles we read in class. Should a murderer be put to death if he feels remorse for his crime? I have no idea how to debate this topic. On one hand, if the killer who feels remorse is kept in jail and alive, their crime will haunt them for the rest of their life. If we kill them, it is almost like taking away the pain of their remorse.
