A ton of things have changed since act one. Lady Macbeth is sleepwalking due to the imence amount of remore she feels and Macbeth has become a cold blooded killer who sometimes sees ghosts. We see a complete role reversal between the two. However, due to Lady Macbeth's sleepwalking and Macbeth's hallucinations, the people do not trust Macbeth anymore. The witches were the ones who planned to talk Macbeth up, which (obviously) will lead to his downfall.
I agree with what you are saying. That they both feel some form of guilt even though they don't think so. Which can be seen in Lady Macbeth sleep walking, and Macbeth hallucinating. I also agree with you on your point about the witches.
