The main character in the play is Macbeth. Throughout the first act and third act he seems to be thinking about his fate. He wants change it so he kills his friend Duncan to be able to be king. After this he seems to rethink what he did. Macbeth does not want anyone to suspect him to be the killer so he has to keep his emotions to himself. But as the play carries on you can see his actions is beginning to get to him, to the extent of him hallucinating Duncan.

I like your picture but i think it was Banquo who was his best friend that he hallucinated. Granted he was held in high respect in the King's view but it was definatly Banquo that he saw sitting at the table.
